This policy explains what information the game Grass Boss ("the game"), made by Fermentor Production ("we"), collects and how it is used. It applies to every version of the game: Meta Quest, Steam (Windows and macOS) and any other platform we release it on.
Short version
Grass Boss is a single-player offline game. We do not collect, store or sell your personal data. The game has no accounts, no ads, no in-game purchases and no online features.
What stays on your device
- Save games and settings. Your progress (mown grass, coins, upgrades and so on) and your settings (language, comfort, graphics) are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the game deletes them.
- Error report. If something goes wrong, the game writes a small technical report (
errors.log) on your device. It contains error messages only, no personal information. It is never sent anywhere. You can choose to send it to us yourself if you report a bug.
Hand and head tracking
On Meta Quest the game uses the headset's head, controller and hand tracking so you can play. This tracking data is processed in real time on the device, only to move your hands and the trimmer in the game. The game does not record, store or send it.
Unity engine
The game is built with the Unity engine. Unity Technologies may automatically collect limited, anonymous technical information about the device (for example the device model, operating system, graphics hardware and the game version) to improve its engine. We do not receive data that identifies you. See the Unity Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Platform stores
When you buy, download or play the game through a store such as the Meta Horizon Store or Steam, that platform may collect information under its own privacy policy (for example your account, purchases and play time). We do not control that data. Please see:
- Meta: https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/
- Steam (Valve): https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/
Children
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, we hold no data about you to access, correct or delete. If you send us an e-mail (for example a bug report), we use it only to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Changes
If the game ever starts collecting data (for example for online features), we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
